The Kiwanis International Mission is to make the world a better place for kids, one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Tierrasanta takes that mission seriously.
We provide winter coats, hats, gloves, wool socks, and hygiene products to homeless teenagers. We assist with food distribution at a local elementary school. We provide financial assistance to scouting and other youth programs. We support high school sports teams plus JROTC and Band. We offer scholarships to graduating seniors and leadership opportunities to students of all ages.
If you want to be part of an organization that makes a difference, contact Sean Ring ([email protected]) or come to a breakfast meeting. We meet at 7 AM the first three Wednesdays of each month at Maggie’s Cafe 3434 Greyling Drive in Serra Mesa.
We have an immediate need for volunteers to work with grade school and middle school students. If you can coach a sport, teach a craft, or tutor in math or reading, we need you.
A great turn out today to listen to our past president and distinguished secretary John Hopper tell us about his career as a gunners mate handling nuclear weapons. We welcomed three new members today at our meeting. Lots of opportunities to volunteer in the next three weeks. Check your emails . Our biggest event of the year, Tierrafest will be happening on May 16. We hope to see everyone there. ... See MoreSee Less
